Community Code of Conduct

Welcome to the EDA Academy Instructor Community — a dedicated space for educators, engineers, and creators who share a passion for teaching and learning in the IC ecosystem.

To maintain a respectful, safe, and productive environment for everyone, please follow these community rules.

1. Purpose of the Community

This community exists to connect instructors, share insights, discuss challenges, and celebrate successes. It’s a space for collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning—fueled by respect and professionalism.

2. Respect and Professionalism

Treat every member with courtesy. Debate ideas, not people. Respect differences in background, teaching style, and opinion. Use professional language, and maintain a tone suitable for an academic and global audience.

3. Constructive Contributions

When you post, aim to add value—share an insight, ask thoughtful questions, or offer support. Avoid repetitive, promotional, or irrelevant posts. Keep discussions meaningful, actionable, and connected to teaching or engineering topics.

4. Confidentiality and Intellectual Property

Protect your own and others’ intellectual property. Do not share paid course materials, confidential student information, or proprietary company data. Always credit sources properly when referencing external materials.

5. No Self-Promotion or Advertising

This community is for collaboration, not marketing. Avoid promoting external products, services, or personal courses unless explicitly allowed by EDA Academy for educational relevance.

6. Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing

We encourage knowledge exchange—co-developing ideas, providing peer reviews, and learning from others’ teaching experiences. Generosity and authenticity build trust and enhance your reputation as an educator.

7. Inclusivity and Global Awareness

Our community is global. Be mindful of language and cultural differences. Communicate clearly, avoid jargon where possible, and ensure everyone feels welcome regardless of experience level or region.

8. Use of Language and Tone

Keep discussions professional and educational. Humor is welcome, but sarcasm or harsh criticism is not. Encourage and uplift fellow instructors—learning thrives in a positive space.

9. Feedback and Peer Support

Offer constructive feedback—focus on improvement and mutual growth. When receiving feedback, stay open-minded. Remember, every member is here to learn and grow.

10. Reporting Issues

If you encounter misconduct, plagiarism, or harassment, report it through the “Contact Admin” link. The moderation team will review and respond promptly.

11. Data and Privacy

Respect others’ privacy. Do not share private messages or identifiable information without consent. All data shared here follows EDA Academy’s privacy and usage policies.

12. Community Moderation

EDA Academy moderators may edit, remove, or lock posts that violate these rules. Repeated violations may lead to suspension or removal from the community.

13. Content Ownership

You own your content, but by posting here, you grant EDA Academy the right to display and reference your contributions to improve the community experience.

14. Staying on Topic

Keep posts aligned with the community’s purpose—teaching experiences, course design, engineering discussions, or platform improvements. Off-topic posts may be relocated or removed.

15. Continuous Improvement

These guidelines evolve as the community grows. Suggestions for improvement are welcome—use the feedback section to help shape our shared culture.

The Instructor Community embodies the spirit of Learn, Share, and Elevate. Together, we build not only better courses—but a better learning world.

Together, we make teaching better.
