Instructor Policy
1. Eligibility and Registration
EDA Academy welcomes professionals, educators, and practitioners across all domains of semiconductor, IC design, and EDA technologies. There are no strict academic or production requirements to become an instructor. Anyone with expertise and a commitment to deliver valuable learning content may apply. Registration, review, and publishing procedures are designed to be efficient and accessible.
2. Course Development and Submission
Instructors are responsible for developing their course materials and ensuring that all content is accurate, original, and educationally relevant. Each course should be structured into Modules, Lectures, and Pages to form a coherent learning path. Typical materials include presentation slides, video lectures, reference notes, and optional quizzes. EDA Academy emphasizes instructional clarity and technical depth rather than production quality. Courses must be submitted with a completed course information form. Once reviewed and approved, they will be published on the platform and made available to learners worldwide.
3. Revenue Model and Payment Structure
EDA Academy applies a transparent 80/20 revenue-sharing model, where instructors receive 80% of the net revenue after the deduction of processing fees.
Direct Sales: 80% to instructor, 20% to platform.
Affiliate Sales: After deduction of affiliate commission (0–50%) and transaction fees, the remaining revenue follows the same 80/20 split.
Membership Sales (Optional): For courses accessed via membership subscriptions, revenue is distributed proportionally based on member activity.
Payments are issued every 90 days once the instructor’s accumulated balance reaches USD 500. Supported payout methods include PayPal, Payoneer, and approved bank accounts. All instructors are responsible for their applicable taxes, currency exchange fees, and banking charges.
4. Ownership and License of Content
Instructors retain full ownership of all materials they create and submit to the platform. By publishing a course, the instructor grants EDA Academy a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, promote, and distribute the content for operational and marketing purposes. This license allows streaming, downloading, and promotional use but does not transfer any intellectual property rights. Instructors may remove their content at any time; however, existing student enrollments will continue to have access to purchased courses.
5. Conduct, Quality, and Compliance
Instructors are expected to maintain professionalism, accuracy, and respect for learners. Submitted content must comply with copyright, data protection, and privacy regulations. The platform reserves the right to review, deactivate, or remove content that violates standards, infringes intellectual property, or harms the integrity of the learning environment. All instructors operate as independent content providers and are not employees or agents of EDA Academy.
EDA Academy is committed to transparency, fairness, and collaboration in its instructor community. By teaching on the platform, you acknowledge and agree to uphold the principles outlined in this Policy.
